Je kan sinds kort meer lezen (en fotos bekijken) over Bryans avonturen op zijn eigen website: www.real-x415.com. Ik zou zeggen: check it now!
You can now read (and look at the photo's) about Bryans adventures on his own website: www.real-x415.com. I'd say: check it now!

I'm starting my ownm skateshop now. Here are some pictures of the store front and the corner. The shop is behind the mural. The park is 1 1/2 blocks to the right on the same side of the street. Also I am going to get free advertising in a new skate mag for some pics he likes. I get pix in a mag and free advertising. www.parks.sfgov.org go to this page to see what the park will look like.
A couple of days ago I had the whole huge skatepark for myself. I've seen every corner of it now. I especially enjoyed the nose-plant. By the way... I'm starting a skateshop here, called Real-X (415) = SF area code. It's gonna be cooooool.

Bryan,

I forwarded your e-mail to CalTrans' Public Information Officer, Bart Ney. Areas under freeways are state territory and the City in not allowed to make decisions regarding this land. Your requests and ideas have been passed to the Chief of Public Affairs. I am sure he will be able to bring it before the others and brainstorm for the rightful usage of this
property. Thank you for bringing this to our attention so this area can be used by everyone to enjoy.

Jason Chan

Message received. I will pass it along to our Chief of Public Affairs.

Bart,

We received the following e-mail from a resident who has some ideas for the usage of the space under the 101 Octavia/Market off ramp. I believe the area he is speaking of is off of Duboce Street. He would like for the area to be converted to a skate park rather than a homeless encampment. I am not sure what liability issues are involved, but please pass this along to the right person and let me know whatever details you have to help me resolve the issue. Thank you very much. I look forward to hearing from you.

"They've just opened this realy cool park. About 15 minutes away from where
I live."
Jan 14 '06: Today this e-mail came in. I guess I still have a skatepark...
The San Francisco Mayor's Office of Economic and Workforce Development is taking the lead on developing neighborhood friendly uses for the Airspace beneath the Central Freeway Re-Build. We starting working with the City in developing concepts in the spring of 2004. The City has held neighborhood meetings and gathered input from the community. The City is moving forward with a plan to develop recreational uses for this space and one proposed component is a skate park. We recently completed the initial review of the project and are in the process of compiling the comments. Mr. Rich Hillis of the Mayor's Office of Workforce and Economic Development is our contact for this project. Mr. Hillis can be contacted at (415) 554 - 4082. I believe the City will be holding more community meetings on this proposed development and interested parties should contact Mr. Hillis for the dates and times of the community meetings.

Jan 10 '06: The City removed all the skateramps that we built. They left the junk for us, like the old refrigirator and the stuff that was too heavy for 'em. That was after I sent them an e-mail, telling them how great it is to have this going on for the skaters. I guess I shouldn't have sent that e-mail.
Now we are just going to built bigger and bigger. We'll bolt it to the ground,
so they can't take it.
